Community Offshore Wind completes final submission of largest proposal received by NYSERDA to date

Our proposed 2.8 GW project will generate enough electricity to power one million New York homes. It will deliver first power in 2030 and be fully operational by 2032. Read more in our press release here.

Our final proposal for New York’s fifth offshore wind solicitation is in! Next, NYSERDA will award contracts to developers in early 2025. Learn more about solicitations and how developers secure contracts to build offshore wind in New York here.

UNDERSTANDING THE PERMITTING PROCESS

Article VII Permitting

As part of our permitting process in New York, and specifically as part of our Article VII submissions, Community Offshore Wind will submit an application detailing our point of interconnection, where our project will connect to the onshore electrical grid.
