We are firmly committed to protecting your privacy. The following Privacy Notice outlines our information-gathering and dissemination practices for your information in connection with the Project, including but not limited to, the collection and dissemination of information from the sites and any other means by which you provide your information to Doorstep Community LLC.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Notice, please do not use any of the sites or provide us with any personal information.

Security

We use industry standard means to secure the sites, including the encryption of digital communications between your web browser and the relevant servers where feasible.

Most browsers will illustrate that you are entering or leaving a secure area by presenting a dialog box. However, most browsers also give you the option of turning off the dialog box display.

When on a secure page, you will see the lock icon within your web browser. While we have put in place commercially reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect, including the information we collect on our sites, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of any data sent to us electronically, and the transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk.

Information We Collect and Use of Your Information

When you begin the registration process, we collect personal contact information (such as your name and e-mail address). This information is used to answer your questions, solve your problems, provide interactivity, and to provide you with information regarding the Project. We do not provide this information to any other parties, except as described in the “Disclosing your Information” section below. Additionally, we may collect:

  • Details of your visits to our sites, and the resources that you access, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, including your IP address, the date and time you accessed or left the sites, which pages you viewed, clicks, interactions with websites, applications and advertisements, or social media information, commercial information and inferences, interactions with us, preferences, psychological traits/predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence or abilities/aptitudes, some of which may be assigned by probabilistic methods or demographic information, such as age or gender.
  • Information that you provide directly to us, including on our sites (for example, to contact us through the sites, you must provide your name and e-mail address).
  • Information provided to us when you communicate with us for any reason.

Some parts of our sites use cookies and other technologies to collect this information about your general Internet usage. See section below, “How We Use Cookies,” to learn more.

In addition to using this information to provide services to you, we may use this information to provide third parties with de-identified statistical information about the users of our sites, and to monitor and conduct an analysis of our sites traffic and usage patterns.

How We Use Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your device. We use session ID cookies and persistent cookies on our sites. A session ID cookie is temporary. Once you close your browser, the cookie terminates. A persistent cookie is stored on a device’s hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser “help” file directions.

On our sites, cookies are not used to invade the privacy of Internet users. We do not track our users across websites or across time.

Our cookies are used to improve the user experience. Persistent cookies enable us to track site usage patterns and analyze trends in the aggregate data reports. This helps us to make Doorstep Community, and any other sites in connection with the Project, more useful to visitors. If users reject this cookie, they will continue to have full site access. This cookie does not include any personally identifiable information.

We also use cookies to create a continuous connection within each of our sites. This type of cookie (a session ID cookie) is only temporary and allows users to complete a form.

All computers have the ability to decline cookies. This can be done by activating the setting on your browser which enables you to decline the cookies. Please note that should you choose to decline cookies, you may be unable to access particular parts of our sites. Third parties such as Google may use pixels, cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from our sites and to use that information to provide measurement services and target ads.  Our sites do respond to web browser “do not track” signals and other mechanisms that provide individuals the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of personally identifiable information about an individual’s online activities over time and across third-party web sites. If you wish to opt-out of this online tracking, please visit the Digital Advertising Alliance’s website available at http://www.aboutads.info/choices/  or https://www.youronlinechoices.com/  or the Network Advertising Initiative’s website available at http://www.optout.networkadvertising.org  for more information.

Cookie data may also be used by our marketing partners to enhance your advertising experience on our sites or other venues across the internet.

However, while some web sites allow users to decline cookies, some of our third-party service providers who provide data analytics services through our sites, do not necessarily respond to do-not-track requests. The third-party service providers that we may use include, but are not limited to, Google, Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Pinterest, Nextdoor and Snap. These third parties do not necessarily respond to your do-not-track requests. However, these third-party service providers do use cookies or pixels to collect standard internet log information and web site user behavior information. The information generated by the cookie or pixel about your use of any of our sites (including your IP address and geo-location) is transmitted to these service providers. This information is then used by the service providers to evaluate our users’ use of our sites and to compile statistical reports on site activity for us. For more information on how these third-party service providers respond to do-not-track requests, please review their privacy policies and terms of use.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

This means that Doorstep Community LLC may display interest-based advertising using information you make available to us when you interact with our sites, content, or services and/or products. Interest-based ads, also sometimes referred to as personalized or targeted ads, are displayed to you based on information from activities such as purchasing on our sites or visiting certain parts of our sites. Advertisers or ad companies working on our behalf sometimes use technology to serve the ads that appear on our sites directly to your browser. Those third parties automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may also use cookies to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize ad content.
